Youth Events
The Wichita Sports Commission helps organize and promote a variety of youth sports events from wrestling to track and field to youth football and baseball camps. WSC has helped support a variety of youth sports events in the Wichita area including:
Buster Posey Award’s “Just Block It” Catchers’ Clinic sponsored by Rawlings
These camps teach the skills necessary to be a good catcher at all levels - from little league to high school, or the collegiate level. Prairie Fire Marathon
Wichita Sports Commission’s very own Prairie Fire Race Series offers kids the opportunity to participate with their family in the Friendly 5K. This untimed event allows participants to go at their own pace while being a part of this great community event.
KC Chiefs and the GWASC Auction for The Foundation for Andover Schools
In conjunction with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Wichita Sports Commission is auctioning off Kansas City Chiefs' memorabilia online starting June 10th and finishing June 24th. Proceeds will benefit "The Foundation for Andover Schools" specifically Prairie Creek Elementary.Athletics Wichita is a 501c3 foundation of the WSC.
