The Prairie Fire Fall Race Start/Finish will be at Wave: 650 E. 2nd St, Wichita, KS 67202.

- 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Packet Pickup @ The WAVE
Sunday, October 13, 2024
- 6:30 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. Pre-Race Stretch courtesy of NovaCare Rehabilitation
- 7:30 a.m. Prairie Fire Marathon & Half Marathon Start
- 7:50 a.m. 5K and Friendly 5K Start
- 8:50 a.m. 5K Awards inside WAVE
- 10:00 a.m. Half Marathon Awards inside WAVE
- 10:50 a.m. Entrance to the 2nd loop closes for Marathoners.
- 11:30 a.m. Marathon Awards inside WAVE
- 1:30 p.m. Course Closes
Unofficial results will be posted by Mtec Results, and official results posted by TimerGuys after the race. Results will also be posted on our results page after the race is over and event clean up is completed.

The Prairie Fire Races are electronically bib timed. Please wear your bib on the front of your shirt or shorts. Do not fold the transponder on the back.

Fall Runners’ Village
Runners’ Village
One of the most exciting features of the Prairie Fire Race Series is the Runners’ Village, which is full of everything runners need before and after the race! The 2024 Runners’ Village will be held at Wave, 650 E. 2nd St., Wichita, KS 67202.
It offers medical tents, runners food tent, runners information tent, free coffee, and free beer. There’s also water, Gatorade, and fruit as you cross the finish line. In addition to these amenities.
Another unique part of the Prairie Fire Race Series is our broadcasters at the finish line giving live updates of runners coming into the finish. The live feed can be heard a half mile out for an added rush of adrenaline for runners to finish strong!
Race Day Parking
For easiest access, we encourage runners to park east of the railroad tracks, in the Old Town area.
The lot directly south of the WAVE is also available, however it will fill up quickly on race day. The lot directly west of the WAVE is for vendors only.
- 2nd Street is open between Washington and the railroad tracks for access into Old Town.
- 1st Street is open from Main for cars needing to go east.
- Douglas is closed to east/west traffic. You can cross at Douglas/Broadway, Douglas/Washington and Douglas/Hillside.
aid Stations, Medical Stations & Restrooms
The Prairie Fire Marathon is proud to serve Gatorade sports drinks at all hydration stations. Fully filtered water is provided by Culligan. GU hydration will also be available in certain locations. Minor emergency supplies (i.e. Band-Aids, Vaseline) will also be available at each station.
Aid Stations
The Prairie Fire Marathon is proud to serve Gatorade sports drinks at all hydration stations, along with fully filtered water is provided by Culligan, and Gu hydration will also be available in certain locations.
Aid stations will be operating at approximately miles: 1.5, 3, 3.75, 5.5, 7, 8, 10, 11.25, 12.25, 13, 14.5, 16, 17, 18.5, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24.5 and 25.5. Gu will be available at Miles 14, 18, and 20. Trainers from NovaCare Rehabilitation will be located at each station.
Medical stations
A medical team will be at the finish line to help with runners after they have finished the race. basic first aid and minor emergency supplies (i.e. Band-Aids, Vaseline) will be available at each aid station, along with trainers from NovaCare Rehabilitation.
Restroom Facilities
PORT-A-JOHNS WILL BE LOCATED AT EACH OF THE AID STATIONS LISTED ABOVE.
5K: Start/Finish Area and Mile 2, which is shared with Mile 12 of the full and half marathon.
