Prairie Fire Race Series

The Wichita Sports Commission has proudly held the variety of Spring and Fall races in our Full, Half, 5k, Back 2 Back, Youth Marathon, Fun Run-Walk, and Kid’s Mile family-friendly events for more than 10 years.

Teams from different organizations (or combined organization teams) compete in several feature events over the course of 5 days to show off their “out of the office” skills in our health and fitness challenge.

Wichita Corporate Challenege

Corporate Challenge is a health and fitness challenge to local organizations, businesses, and corporations. Multiple fun events for men and women build pride, morale, and camaraderie amongst employees and companies.

Greater Wichita Sports Banquet

The Greater Wichita Sports Banquet brings together the best high school and collegiate athletes and coaches together to honor the best from the Wichita area. The Sports Banquet also features the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award which honors the best Division-1 level catcher.

Wichita Turkey Trot

In 2022 the WSC took over management of Wichita's oldest, annual running event, the Wichita Turkey Trot! Held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, this annual event is a great way to create lasting family memories!

Youth Events

The Wichita Sports Commission helps organize and promote a variety of youth sports events from wrestling to track and field to youth football and baseball camps.
