Prairie Fire Race Series

The Wichita Sports Commission has proudly held the variety of Spring and Fall races in our Full, Half, 5k, Back 2 Back, Youth Marathon, Fun Run-Walk, and Kid’s Mile family-friendly events for more than 10 years.

Teams from different organizations (or combined organization teams) compete in several feature events over the course of 5 days to show off their “out of the office” skills in our health and fitness challenge.

Wichita Corporate Challenege

Corporate Challenge is a health and fitness challenge to local organizations, businesses, and corporations. Multiple fun events for men and women build pride, morale, and camaraderie amongst employees and companies.

NBC World Series

Since 1935, NBC World Series has produced more than 800 Major League Baseball players. Each year, nearly every MLB team sends scouts to the tournament looking for the best amateur talent from around the world, a who’s who for the future of the Major Leagues.

Wichita Turkey Trot

In 2022 the WSC took over management of Wichita's oldest, annual running event, the Wichita Turkey Trot! Held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, this annual event is a great way to create lasting family memories!
