Opportunities, Exposure & Growth
Since 1997, the Wichita Sports Commission (WSC) has worked to promote, acquire, and support a diversity of youth, amateur, and professional sports programs and events enhancing the Wichita area economy and quality of life. We work to showcase the Wichita area as a Midwestern hub through the planning and promoting of sporting events or activities and have had an economic impact of over $544 million.
WSC collaborates with local, regional, and national partners to bring new events to our Wichita Community. We value our local venue and facility owners and work closely with them in pursuing events. We also work extremely hard to operate and maintain successful recurring events, including the Prairie Fire Race Series, Turkey Trot, Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award, Wichita Sports Banquet, and Wichita Corporate Challenge.

The Wichita Sports Commission aims to enrich the quality of life and economy of Wichita through sports. We promote and develop sports at all levels, fostering a spirit of teamwork, discipline, and excellence by also providing support to existing events and organizations in our community.
