PRAIRIE FIRE MARATHON RACES
The Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission, a 501(c)3 non-profit, has operated the annual marathon since 2010 when it was rebranded from the Wichita Marathon to the Prairie Fire Marathon which is held on the 2nd Sunday of October. The Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon was added in 2013 and is held on the 1st Sunday of May.
The Prairie Fire Marathon is a USATF Certified Race and a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
